Dreamsports Center, an indoor sports facility, has introduced new owners made up of a partnership of long-time customers. Previous owner, Bob Boucher, remains part owner and will run the sports programming at the facility. One of the main priorities of the new owners is providing a safe, family-friendly environment for both children and adults to enjoy sports at all levels. One of the changes that is scheduled over the next several months is the expansion of the current security systems with surveillance ability. In addition, Dreamsports will be integrating more use of technology into its current system, providing a better experience for the families who use the facility, including a new, more user-friendly Website, where online registration and payments can be conveniently managed.
In February of this year, Richard James Ahmed — at that time co-owner of Dreamsports — was arrested and indicted on charges of trying to engage in sexual activity with a police officer posing as a 14-year-old child. He was charged with attempted dissemination of harmful materials to a minor, taking indecent liberties with a child and solicitation of a child by a computer.
