Downtown Apex retailer My Girlfriend’s Closet was recently honored with the 2008 Apex Chamber of Commerce Innovation award, at the association’s annual banquet held at Prestonwood Country Club. Noting the creative ways that the 3-year old women’s fashion consignment boutique has created a loyal following, including highly personal service, selective products and merchandising, and events designed to make all attendees feel like “girlfriends,” Chamber Chairman, John Rodgers presented owner Lois Cozart with the award in front of a crowd of over 200.
“I couldn’t have been more surprised to receive this fabulous award” said Ms. Cozart. “It is truly humbling to have been chosen for this, among so many wonderful businesses in Apex. I love my customers, and want the store to be a place that women love to come and bring all the women in their life. I get so much pleasure from making them feel special and like a guest in my home. Whether it is helping them find the perfect wardrobe items and accessories or just having a cup of coffee it’s really all about them – watching what makes them happy.”
My Girlfriend’s Closet is a chic consignment boutique in downtown Apex, where women can have a fun time finding a great bargain — and stay fashion savvy too. Featuring gently-used clothing for misses and juniors, petites and plus sizes, as well as hundreds of new accessories from local artisans, personal shopping, image consulting, and fabulous events. You’ve never seen resale like this before.
