Unique Batik Paintings Showing at The Nature of Art

Unique batik watercolor paintings and original cards by Apex artist Jeannette Barringer will be on display at The Nature of Art during October.

The public is invited to the opening reception and early Halloween costume party on Friday, October 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibition will include paintings featuring seacoast scenes from Maine to the Gulf of Mexico. The paintings are of actual places that are rendered simply, yet are almost whimsical.

“In painting realistic pieces I can enjoy a sense of the place with the good memories that it stirs,” says Barringer. “I enjoy playing with the color and the paraffin. Each piece has a different look.”
