On Thursday, November 6, Swagger Gifts of Cary joined the fight against blood cancers by hosting their second annual Holiday Open House Preview Party to benefit LLS. The Holiday Open House Preview Party is an annual event at Swagger and this year owner Mandy Kratus Becker invited her customer’s to make suggestions about what charity they should partner with. “We have several customers who have been touched by leukemia so LLS seemed like an excellent choice,” said Becker. “The event is our way of giving back to the community.”

Swagger generously donated 10% of the entire day’s sales and 100% of ticket sale proceeds raising nearly $1,300 for LLS’s School & Youth programs locally. More than 70 guests enjoyed wine and great specials on Swagger gifts and monogramming. The highlight of the event for many was the opportunity to get an autograph from six year old Charlie Morlock, local blood cancer survivor and 2008 honored hero for LLS’s School & Youth programs and Light The Night Walks which took place this fall.

“We are grateful for the support of Swagger and the Swagger customers and excited by this unique opportunity to build awareness and vital funds for our fight against blood cancers,” said Emily Blust, Special Events Director, Eastern North Carolina Chapter of LLS.
